Solenoid pack

Are the solenoid packs on a 5R55W interchangable? I mean 02-03 with 04-05. I've got an 02 with shifting problem and need to replace solenoid pack - perhaps I can purchase an updated solenoid pack from a newer tranny and use that... perhaps...

Don't think so, but I'm guessing one of the tranny gurus will come on and give the facts.

Did you try posting this question in the tranny forum? Lots of them hang out there?

Also, I would do a check on the parts numbers from suppliers - that might help, too.

Suppliers show a slightly different part number... some claim solenoid packs are good from 02+ go figure.
