Will the Carrier/limited Slip unit from a Solid 8.8 go in a IRS 8.8? Need to change gears bearings in it anyway(whine) and I happen to have a Spare 98 Expo with a L/S unit in it....

An 8.8 is an 8.8, is an....but., two different size axles might be encountered, so the number of splines on the axle ends must be correct, regardless of solid axle or IRS.
