Solonoid problems I think????

Hi everyone, glad I found you. Could use some help to a question.
I have the typical click, click, click from what I think is my starter solonoid. It's only every 4 or 6 starts, but want to get it fixed before I get stuck some place. However I was told it could be the starter relay solonoid switch on the firewall. How do I tell the difference. Big difference in replacing the starter relay switch & replacing the starter/solonoid. $40.00 compared to $300.00 Anyone got any Idea's. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to this forum! Check the battery, cables, ground connections, and the alternator.

...I just helped a guy with this today...The starter relay is $14.99 at pepboy's, Autozone no longer carries them, and this is more than likely your problem...
