So about a week ago the area between 55mph-75mph went out, the only way i can see the numbers at night is from the lights from the other mphs. Thought itd eventually just go back to normal but hasn't. any ideas on what it is? How to fix it?

Thanks for looking

Have you checked your fuses? When you open your drivers door, there is a panel on the side of the dash that says "Fuses" very faintly. it will also have a little place to pull it. give it a good tug and see if there is a little card that tells you the fuses what amperage they need and where they are. if the diagram is not there, check the owners manual i know its in there, if its not there, i'm sure you can find it on this wonderful site :D and once you find the fuse location, pull it and check for damage. Every time i have to pull a fuse. i like to look around and see if i can see any other burnt ones. (you can usually tell by looking at it, but it is best to pull it out all the way). and if the fuses are good. you probably just blew a few bulbs back there. i know my X did the same thing. i figured it was the bulbs because not the whole instrument panel went out. Hope this helps!

Most likely a bulb in there went out. Since you are going to have to pull the cluster, go ahead and get all new bulbs in there. I have had many issues of new bulbs being brighter than the old ones and it is equally as annoying as having one out. I dont remember how many are in there, but they arent that expensive to not just add the insurance of not having to pull the cluster again.

There are 6 bulbs for insturment cluster illumination - they are #194. +1 on changing out all six of them while you have cluster out.

There is a sticky on here for how to do this... He swapped in all led lights which looked very cool but some people have had problems with there not being equal light across the whole cluster with this route..
