Hi everyone, iv'e been reading this forum for about a week now before registering, and found tons of great information, but i was hoping for some clarification on a few things.

http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67200 i read that as well as the 5 inch lift thread (or at least some of it since it was 40+ pages.) http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=238214 and it didn't list how the tire size i'm interested in would play out. i was looking at these ones http://www.amazon.com/BFGoodrich-Mud-Terrain-Off-Road-Tire/dp/B004QGZC9I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1393143387&sr=8-1&keywords=33x10.5x15+tires or alternatively the 31x10.5x15s of the same tire.

my question is with the body and suspension lift could i run the 33x10.5s instead of the 12.5's and avoid trimming the fenders? i'm not sure how comfortable/confident or even if i have the tools to do that if i had to.

or is the issue at that point more the height then the width?

and as far as the lift goes, if i do that basic lift, i won't have to change any other parts right? i put brand new shocks in 5 months ago with no intention of modifying my exploder until i saw how cheap it could be while looking up if a 97 k&n intake could be used on a 98 (turned out who cares the benefit would be negligible , thanks for that). aside from the longer bolt i didn't see any mention of really replacing parts that aren't essential to the lift and i just want to be sure that i'm understanding everything.

and lastly rims, i guess i'm gonna need wider ones since the smallest i can have for those bfgs is an 8 inch wide (i read on here 7's could be used but the tire shop said they wouldn't do it and they wouldn't wear right even if they did). i was looking at some pretty basic ones on amazon but i'm not 100% sure if the ones i was looking at will fit because of backspacing (i don't know what that is) or the hub size (i don't know what mine currently is) which i only want to know about because i read this while looking up some rims http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/983938-if-you-buy-some-ion-alloy-wheels.html

anyways i was looking at these 2 and was wondering if they would fit, or if anyone had suggestions/better ideas. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004J356T4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER http://www.amazon.com/Wheels-51-5865F-Crawler-Series-Pattern/dp/B009X24E1M/ref=pd_luc_sbs_01_01_t_lh?ie=UTF8&psc=1

well that's all i can think of for now, i know that's a lot of questions but this is my first car, and my first lift/modification of any type, so my knowledge is pretty limited.

i would really appreciate any help and answers thanks a bunch!

would this be better off in the modified section?
