I thought I would post some install pics on the Sony XM receiver I got for free. Bought it for $100 with a $100 mail in rebate so I figured what the hell? Listened to it in my home for awhile then decided to put it in the X. Problem was they didn't make a decent road kit for them, just a cassette adapter and a cigarette plug. Not the install I was looking for. So I did a bit of research and found that all the power specs were the same for the Skyfi and that the Skyfi had an FM modulator. So I picked up a home kit (cradle and antenna) and the FM modulator. Both total ended up costing a little over $50.
Decided to put it in the center console in the top pocket. Used my trusty Dremmel to cut out a hole for the cradle, hooked up the power to the aux. power source on the side of the console and ran the antenna wire from the back. What do you guys think?
