I'm gonna be finishing up my Brahma install, and 0 guage wiring for my 3000 watt amp, and I'm gutting the interior of my explorer for a few things, whiel I'm at it, I'm going to be installing 180 sq ft of eDead V2, I need to know where the key spots are, AND how do I disassemble the entire back paneling?

For the back paneling, take out the little plastic screw-type things that line the edges of it. Be careful when taking them out, so you can re-use them. Then get a size 50 Torx head (double check the size, I'm not 100% sure) to unbolt your seatbelts. There are also some screws for the clothes hanger, and some at the bottom of the rear panels that attach it to the floor (under the carpet).
For the hatch door, same deal with the plastic screw-type things. There are also 3 metal screws. Two under the dangling handle thing in the center of the panel, and one under the plastic cap where the lock is (have to take off the little plastic piece to see it). Lift upwards to take it off.

I'm also interested in the key spots to put Dynamat, etc.
Anyone have trouble with the panel on the hatchdoor rattling like crazy? Right now I'm driving without it on because I couldn't stand it anymore. I dont think just covering the area w/ dynamat will help much, because the panel doesn't seem to have a very secure fit to the door. Maybe carpeting it would help? Not sure.

the only rattling you should have on the back panel is the where the window is held to the hatch, and the windsheild wiper:

take off the velvet cover for that hook, put cuck tape all over it to make it thicker, then re-apply velvet.

for the wiper, take out the wiper, and put bondo inside to make it tighter. thats what I did.

You've got to make the panel heavier and put dynamat everywhere all over the sheet metal, including where the panel attaches to the hatch. Just cut out the square holes after you've laid the dynamat down. To make the panel heavier, I used duplicolor bedliner coating. It works better than rubberized undercoating and once it dries it doesn't smell. It takes 2-3 hours to dry. Spray the crap out of the back of the panel. I used 1 or 2 cans on just the panel. What is basically causing the rattling is the metal vibrating and transferring it to the hatch. Any vibrations the dynamat won't take care of the bedliner coating will take care of on the panel, so you should be rattle free, except the window and wiper are hard to stop rattling. For the door handle that pops the window or the hatch open, I put a rubber washer right where it turns. It stopped that from rattling. The key parts are the hatch. And the sides of the cargo area. With the type of power you and I have(I've got 1200 watts) the constant rattling of the subs has caused my window seal to come lose on the cargo area side windows. After dynamat that shouldn't be a problem for ya. The hatch is going to be your biggest key spot. Put two layers on both the skin and where the panel attaches. lol, I got my amp in, and got it hoked up, we started inspecting for rattles, and we discovered amny odd and normal rattle areas...

well... the hatch locks all 3! the window, and two door hatch locks are a problem. I tried taping up the studs that the lock holds onto, but then it WILL NOT close, any suggestions there?

also, we got rattle in a crazy area... and air leakage! IN THE FRONT DOOR HANDLEs!@!!!

I never knew that was possible, at my previous 142.7 dBs, I only had a tad rattle rom the back window, now... damn!

how to I stop the door handles?!
