Yeah I agree that actual photos shouldnt be used. Who was it here that does those stylized drawings of X's flexing and stuff like that? I think that would be cool. Maybe one of those drawings with the club name and info in smaller print underneath. Id prefer if the decal was clear with white print on it. I think I explained that well

Yeah, I also agree with Matt about the decal, with the clear decal with white letters. I don't know, it made sense to me. If anyone has the ECX stickers, those are the same thing that I'm thinking about.

Also, one more thing I was thinking about. Now, on the Membership Application, one of the questions makes you choose 4x4, 2x4, or street. I was thinking, maybe that should be changed to off-road, stock, or street. Or, do we not want stock vehicles? Are there any restrictions upon that?

Also, if no one has donated webspace or e-mail yet, i have a few free mailboxes left on my existing Earthlink account; therefore I don't have a problem adding one to my account until a more permanent solution is established: i.e. web: http://home.earthlink.net/~SouthernXClub and e-mail: SouthernXClub@earthlink.net
10MB for web and e-mail per mailbox. I'm just now getting around to see this post; otherwise, I would have posted earlier.

Thanks Patrick, i'm trying hard on making this work! :)

About the decals yeah they will be white.....as far as the logo goes that would be for the website. If ya'll want one with a drawn one or something i'll work on one then see what ya'll think.

and yes stock explorers are welcome ;)

about the website, what you want to do about that brandon....you want to work together on starting it. If thats cool with everyone. And as far as the President thing goes...i'm willing too, that is is everyone thinks so also, and doesnt mind a chic being one:p :D
*reminds me when the time is right and we figure out who all the official members are we need to vote on officers and state coordinators.

sounds good to me...I will be away for few days for the holidays Will be back on dialup connection from my parents so I wont be as active for a week. Keep me updated though

BTW Rocket, i don't mind

hey that is cool about the webspace thing. free stuff right there, for now. well. the decal color scheme seems good to me too. and as for the SXC logo i would also rather have it be something drawn instead of actual pictures of peoples explorers. hey Yomie that is cool, i figured you wouldnt mind much. hey man i am going to have my supercharger and nitrous in with a few other toys by april. we should get together and hang out. i want to take my X to the track to get some times from 1/4 mile. also i plan on living near three rivers so there is a good muddin spot up there to take the truck if ya wanted. well people keep up the good work and keep us all posted on new ideas and questions or comments. oh and by the way i dont mind at all if explorerchic is prez. seems like she has the motivation and skills to do the job well as i have seen so far. well talk to yall later.

Thants cool, we'll definitely meet up here in 5 months. Hey i'm not lifted anymore though, I'm a street truck now, i am gonna try to have pics taken this weekend if i can. Maybe with my bonus money(the other half i didn't get when i enlisted) i can finally afford that SC in April

hey Yomie that is even more badass. now definately we will have to go and make some people jealous. i know of a group of ricer kids that park and think they are all fast and badass in the local mcdonalds parking lot<----looooooseeeeeeerz on hwy 90. we may have to go there and humble them while having a little fun. i will probably have already been to the track by the time you get down and i maaaaaaaaay have my 347 in by then(i doubt it but can wish.)so i will probably have time to help you put that s/c in your X too if you want any help. well man take it easy.

Most definitely Rocket, we'll have to cruise down 90 in Biloxi where they all 'chill' by the President.

I don't have a problem with eXplorerchic being president since she has already exibited organizational, leadership, and motivational skills necessary to make this club work.

I'm still offering store the webspace and setup an email account with my Earthlink account since the website needs to be stored somewhere and the club e-mail account has to be stored and setup somewhere physically, especially with domain name registration and name aliasing. Just let me know what names to try to register, and 24 hours after I create the account it can be accessed.

As soon as the craziness of training and setting up the plant and the first Nissan full-size SUV frame is sent to Nissan (supposed to be August '03), I might have to spend a couple of days on the coast to relax and check out what 302 Explorer done right sounds and drives like. :) I'm tired of the yuppiness of Hinds, Madison, and Rankin counties, people driving SUVs for looks and not function, and the expression "302? What's that?"

Hey thanks to all that have been filling out the applications...looks like we're going to have a good group here!

Spoke with my friend about the decals and if ya'll all agree they'll be white....as for as the style after the holiday weekend i'll work on that too. shoot any of you SXC's that want to take a crack at it, go for it. :) Well get them all together and voted on in the near future.

About the website... me and brandon are going to go over stuff after the Thanksgiving break, so we will let you guys know soon whats up :) ;)

** EDIT **
NEW LOGO UPDATE
Dead Link Removed

bit blurry, stupid server

I like that decal you made up, but as far as vehicle stickers go, i think it should be just the SXC part right there in the middle

Oh and my pic, with winters on

Hey Yomie that would be cool. definately make em drop their jaws when we pass.

hey Jeff if you want to come down and check it out that would be cool too. the more the merrier.

Hey explorerchic i think the decal looks really nice. i love the lettering. it looks really sharp. for some reason the ghost picture kind of strikes me wrong for some reason. but otherwise it looks really good to me.

I apologize in advence for i am not going to be able to participate alot in the events and planning going on in the next three weeks or so. i will be moving back home and need to get situated so i will not have alot of free time on my hands to be as active as i have been before. i will still drop in and see what is developing and see what i can help with.

Robert

hey i just had a thought........(no smartass comments now. lol) Just an idea. but what if you put that same picture of that explorer in the middle of the states but alot more faded and more ghostlike so you can still see the state lines through it and then put the lettering on top of that just the same style as you have them in the other picture above. that way the explorer would tie into the logo better. well just an idea. maybe it would turn out retarded but that is what sugestions are for right? lol. well anyways i got to go drink a few beers with my buddy's see ya's later.

At 9:09 in the morning?!?!

Anyway, I'm against the state flags at the bottom. I don't know, I personally am just not a flag type person. But it looks like we're making good progress.

As everyone has said, thanks eXplorerchic for all the effort you're putting in!
