I currently have my spare tire on he roof rack i have on my explorer but i wanted to put a bracket on the back to pull off the bronco style best i could how would i go about doing this and what kind of car should i get the bracket off of. and would anyone even recommend doing this?

I wouldn't recommend that. Those vehicles that have those swing out tire carriers bolted to the fender have underlying structure underneath to support the load. An Explorer does not have that structure.

What size tire?

Best way is to get a bumper with a swing out tire carrier built right into it. Of course that's spendy. But it's the right way. The other way is to put it back underneath. I've been told you can get a 33" tire to fit underneath with some minor modifications. The problem with underneath is that if you need the tire, you better hope you have the clearance to get it out (like say if you're out on a trail).

+1 on that! Good to see another local on here
