From taking a good look, its clearly not as easy of a task as my gf's uncle's crown vic, he changed the wires yesterday, his were all right there, on my 95, and 92 some are accessable from the hood, some are like impossible to even see..

Should I attempt to change them?
What are some tips and any other helpful info..

Also, what would be the best plugs and wires to use

i would reccomend motorcraft plugs. deffinately stay away from bosch or autolite...ive seen tons of those cause problems in the 4.0 and the rangers 3.0

as for getting to them....if you arent afraid to get dirty and maybe scratched up...you can get at em with a swivle and an extension from the wheel well area.....maybe jack it up and pull the front wheels to make your job easier.....and use a long enough extension so that you can use the ratchet in the wheel well(like where the tire would be) other wise youll be moving your ratchet a tiny bit at a time with your hand stuffed up between the fender and the engine.

and good luck! if youre gonna do plugs think about wires if funds will allow it

I would recommend doing the wires too, as removing them from the spark plugs can often damage the internal wire. Besides, they probably could use a changing, too.

When you are removing them, just make sure the wrench is on good and solid, with how hard they are to get to, you don't want to break one. Also, be sure to use a spark plug socket with the rubber insert, it will make them less likely to break/have problems when removing, plus works great for putting in the new plugs, since the rubber insert will hold the plug in the socket for you.

Edit: A quick tip...allow a lot more time to complete than you think it will take..

Oh I knew that, this would probably be a night for me, like usual of going in the garage around 12am or so and bein out there til late 4am.

Ill have to get a set from a friend of those swivel sockets...and extensions, I got a few extensions, but idk if that would be long enough
