Hello folks
I have a possible problem with my 1997 OHV manual
Yesterday I decided to change my spark plugs and all went well until I removed what I think is no 5, (front plug on l/h side under the air con compressor).
The threads were rusty and the end of the plug had a rusty appearence.
The cooling system dosent lose any coolant and it never overheats or misfires, allways runs silky smooth.
I am hoping that it is not a cracked head, and if it is how long do you think I can last?
In three weeks we are off to France with our caravan for a month and I am hopefull that it will last out for the trip!
In GB there is no information about this truck or this engine, I am on my own so I will be obliged if someone can reasure me.
The silly thing is that the plugs did not need changing and if I had left well alone I would be blissfully ignorant of this possible problem.
Sorry to ramble on.

first, what size is the motor?...could it be that you have gotten condensation from the a.c. lines or from heater hoses?...i would run the truck for a couple days, pull that one plug and check it...i think you might have gotten some moisture that settled in by the plug and thats why the threads are rusty...also, that plug might have been gapped wrong or a bad wire for that plug might have gave you the coloring at the tip...this may be seperate minor issues...

Thank you for your replys, I will do as you suggest and report back
Ps This is a great forum, you are all very friendly guys
