Spdrcer34 is going V8!....

On the stock GT40 upper, the EGR Pressure Sensor is mounted right on the intake, behind the inlet. I didn't want to move the sensor, so I mounted the sensor on the TrickFlow Upper

I drilled, tapped, and screwed the sensor in place...then I measured, and cut (ground) the screws down, and sealed the threads to prevent air leaks. I still may throw a thin layer of JBweld on the interior of the screw holes..I dunno. What do you guys think?

I'd use red loctite to keep them in place, and maybe a dab of Ultra Black on the inside to insure it stays sealed.

There is loctite red on there, and I was already debating on UltraBlack, or JBWeld.

I just may go with UltraBlack...if it get's sucked into a cylinder, it won't destroy a cylinder....

Ryan

The Red Loctite works as a thread sealer too. I have some PTFE thread Sealer for all my NPT fittings. But in a non tapered thread, it would be no different than the Red Loctite.

Yes, that was my thought for the RTV, it should do no harm if any of it lets go.

I thought of the thread sealant, but the point was to use the loctite to hold the bolt, and you don't want to put anything else on the threads if it might interfere with the loctite. It'd be great to have thread sealant or RTV on the inner threads, but how to get it there without mixing with the loctite.

The green loctite was a third choice I had in mind, but few people really ever use that. It's the one designed to wick into threads after they are already assembled and tight. I think it was Permatex 290 IIRC, I had a small tube long ago. It worked, but it's so rare you can't use other normal things instead.

Here are the Russell adapters installed, one is 3/8" which is the Feed/OUT line, and the other is 5/16", which is the Return/IN line.

I have used Aeroquip AQP Hose, and Hose Ends exclusively on all my High Performance Builds for years...and this one is no different. Aeroquip doesn't make every adapter out there, so sometimes I gotta buy a differen brand. But my hoses, and hose ends are ALWAYS AQP.

Very nice, and it covers the brake lines too.

I'll have to do the lines sometime soon myself, my main outlet line is very fragile(somebody twisted it).

Did you find adapters to match the front end connectors also? That would reduce the changes needed on each side of the connections.

Good work, and great pictures.

I did find adapters for the factory fuel rail but I am not going to be using them. I bought a set of billet fuel rails for cheap on corral.net. I have the TrickFlow 4-port adjustable fuel pressure regulator all plumbed and finished. I just need to relocate my fuel filter and run new lines into the engine compartment.

nice writeup!

I relocated my fuel filter back about 18". I am going to be running a small bullet catalytic convertor right next to where the filter WAS located. I didn't like that much heat next to the filter, and it would have been a little difficult to get the filter in and out of there...

Here is the latest updated picture of my engine...

I just need a 'few' more fittings to get it all plumbed...I'm working on the Vacuum/Emissions lines, and the Cooling lines...and I can fire it up!

Oh yeah....notice anything out of the ordinary here?...and I'm not talking about missing or loose nuts & bolts.

Ryan

i'm going to say the little NOS solenoid behind the coil pack (or thats what it looks like)

That and what intake elbow is that? Is that a ground down factory piece?

Everything looks great!

Nitrous.....you got it..

That is actually the fuel solenoid. I am looking for a place to mount the nitrous solenoids (spray & purge). I haven't settled on a good location yet.

As for the elbow, it is a HIGHLY modified elbow, using the factory flanges welded to a cast aluminum 3.5" elbow. There is a thread in the 95-01 Modified section titled "The Elbow Dilema".
