My husband and I went on a drive today and wanted to really test my 03 sport trac, but we began to speed up and got to 80 but at 92 it wouldn't go any faster... I really wanted to see her get to 120.....anyone know of a speed limiter or someway to remove the governor if there is one??? :(

You can buy a programmer or a chip that will remove the governor, but it's not really cheap.
That truck (and the tires) really aren't designed for high speeds. The drivetrain isn't designed to spin that fast.

The rev and speed limiter are controlled by the PCM.

They can be removed or changed via computer tunes and a tuning device such as SCT's XCal2/3.

where may i find one of these chips at and what name should i look for.

An XCal II is the most popular for Sport Tracs. Although if you have the need to go faster than 80 mph on a regular basis I would suggest buying a Mustang. It will be safer.

Man, I would never drive my truck more then 75. I rarely drive over 70. I used to have a Supra and I did 130 in that, but heh its a sports car and its designed to go fast, my trac, not so much.

Yeah! that's what it is, vehicles are designed with a purpose.
