I have a squeak in the engine that sounds like your common belt chirp, squeak, only prob is took the belt off to verify and it is not the belt. It is a 2000 with the 4.0 l engine. squeak is gradually getting worse. Anyone ever heard this. Was only at idle at first but now is higher in the rpm. any help appreciated.

P.S. listened to valve covers, not there, pretty much narrowed it down to cam position sensor drive assembly. Thanks Cam position sensor assembly was culprit no more squeak!!!!
