how difficult is it to replace control arm ball joints & bushings for a 1997 Eddie Bauer AWD? The front left just started to squeek (loud) when I go over little speed bumps. Can I just lube up something?:salute::salute::thumbsup:

this thread will show you how. Just use search.

It may be the balljoint, a-arm bushings (upper or lower), or the tierod that is squeaking.
If you squirt the a-arm bushings with something such as WD-40, and it stops squeaking, you found the culprit.
The left side balljoint is one piece with the upper control arm. Some on the right are, some are not.

The lower balljoint replacement thread is also referenced in the thread I posted, as well as here ->
