Ok I have had this problem for 5 years on both my 5.0's and no change. If I let my Explorers sit for a while it stalls when I accelerate after that it won’t do it again. I have owned over 30 and love them. I have accepted it as normal. 1 is a 99 Eddie Bauer that has been heavily modified the other is a 2000 stock 2 wheel drive Limited. The 99 has 57,000 miles the Limited has 69,000 miles. Low I know but I do have 8 explorers. And have 3 extra that are parts cars whel actually 1 is a mountaineer. LOL these rigs have had their sparkplugs changed map sensors cleaned. Fuel filters replaced and air filters. This problem just blows my mind. Anyone have suggestions?

Hua?

You have had 30 explorer's?

You currently have 8

All of them 5.0L?
2 of them, a 99 and a 01 stall when you accellerate if you let them sit for a bit?

How long is a bit?
How often do they stall and do you let them warm up before getting on it?

MAP = Manifold Absolute Pressure
I believe you are cleaning the MAS or MAF, mass air sensor

no just 2 are V8 models. The rest 4.0. I rebuilt my 1st explorer it was a sport. I loved it but lost it @ the bottom of a cliff. LOL I retrieved I have some pics if you want to see the carnage. LOL They do the stalling after 1 day of sitting it doesn't do it all the time. I Can't get any info from the dealer on it. I have a 1995, 1996 1997 (2) 1999 2000 and a 2001 I wish they all were V8 models. Parts cars 1995 1996 1998 and a 2000 Mountaineer.
