I have a 91 auto. I replaced the coil pack, plugs, and wires. This thing stalls when I put it in drive or reverse. It idles fine in park or neutral. No sucking sound indicating a vacume leak and the tubes are all connected to the manifold tree. I am at a loss and need this thing to get to work this weekend(expecting a snow storm). I am not getting a CEL and yes the bulb is good. I need any help I can get. :fire: :hammer:

Thanx For All The Help. Maybe I'll Part It After The Flames Die Down. Tanks Again.

flames? what happened?

Try bypassing the EGR valve by disconnecting the vacume hose on top. Ford used to use a small green hallow hose for this with a small rubber elbow connector to it. It's pretty common if you turn the wheel to the left or right and it would either idle rough or die ar 2 of the first signs. You can run it disconnected, but if your state has inspections it won't pass emissions and your fuel economy will not be as good.

Good luck, when mine did that I had to replace the transmission!
