starting issues

1994 explorer 4.0 2460000 miles. been acting funny when i start it up. started out just missing real bad and barly running when i start and if you try to give it gas it died. kept doing that so after sitting alittle while it start and run just fine now the past couple days it wont start at all just crank but nothing. i get under it and cant hear fuel pump kick on. but after it sits awhile it will start and run fine. any suggestions?

Welcome fellow Kentuckian!

Check the fuel pump relay in the relay box under the hood. There have been lots of threads about this same problem. Try searching if you have not already, you should find what you need.
