I know this might be a sin and please don't kick me off for even contemplating this, but the Explorer seems like a good candidate for increased on road handling abilities.
I have a 98 sport with the SOHC, auto, and 2wd. From what I have read, there is not much hope for high lift kits in the near future. If you have seen the Steeda, it is lowered 2 inches and has Cobra R 17 inch rims. I was thinking about doing this is conjunction with new shocks, polyurethane bushings, and bigger sway bars.
I think Baer has a 13inch all round brake kit, and I was thinking about trying to make it road coarse worthy.
Would I be better off setting it up for offroad duties instead? Either way I am looking to have some fun, eatin up Z71's or Z28's, well, maybe w/nitrous and a blower.
