So, I am new to using forums....but have found (learned through bitter experience) they can save you hours of frustration and steer you clear of typical pit falls.
I just had an unusual experience. I have a 94 XLT and noticed the steering wheel wasn't centered. Happened suddenly! I checked the usual and started pulling out the majority of the original steering parts. Then I noticed one of the mounting bolts for the steering gear had sheared off. When I checked the rest of the bolts, low and behold all of them were loose. This is not something I have ever encountered before, at least not with out some one else being under the hood.
Is this a typical problem? Why would the bolts work loose?
