Steering leaks!!!!

I took my mom to the hospital one day and noticed the power steering was grinding badly. I left the hospital about 20 minutes later and a huge puddle was under the front end. I checked it out and the bottom of my steering box is leaking like crazy! you can flat out just watch it drip. This is my daily driver and i just keep filling it up with Power steering fluid to drive it. It leaves a good sized puddle wherever i go. Can i fix this myself? I can borrow a car till its fixed. And how much to have it fixed by a shop?

You're going to need a replacement steering gear. Rock Auto sells them as does Napa, Schucks and whatnot. Grinding doesn't sound good..

you can try a salvage yard and its not that hard to change out on your own
