is it possible to convert power steering and gear box to rack and pinion?

Anything is possible--- but you wouldn be changing JUST the steering gearbox you would have to change the whole steering set up.

Rack and pinions are notoriously weak when it comes to anything off road. The main issue would be the length of the tie rods. The factory steering creates more bump steer on the drivers side (with the shorter tie rod) You would end up with 2 short tie rods, and have a ton of bump steer with a rack.
