The 4WD truck has 32k miles and everything is stock with the exception of the new tires. I guess I just wanted wider tires. I replaced the GY wranglers with Big O Big Foot A/T's, but I don't like the new "feel". To me the ride is "squishy" or it feels like I am riding on marshmellows. To me a SUV should be tight and stiff. No problems with the shop, I just need to figure out what I want to do.

Could the wider / taller tires (what 10MM in height and width) make for a softer/squishy ride?
Would an LT tire make much of a difference? I had Yoko AT LT's on my Montero, which I liked the ride, however it had a tighter suspension. I have owned several 4WD's and the closest to off road I get is when we get snow in the local mountains or I drive on my in laws dirt driveway out in the desert.
I increased the tire pressure from about 33 to 38 and that made a difference but I am still not satisfied.
I am planning on going back to the stock size 255 70 16.
Any thoughts/ideas?
Thanks in advance for your time
