stock changer skipping problem

My stock CD changer, inside the center console, gets on my nerves sometimes. I can hit the biggest bump on the road at high speeds and it will not skip at all, if I'm driving in a straight line. But the smallest bumps will cause it to skip if I am going through a turn.

Harsh up/down movement, no skip. Slight sideways movement and it skips. Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on how to stop this?

...no, I don't want an aftermarket unit...

I would think that up and down would not bother it cause the discs are in standing up... so if you hit a bump it does nothing.. but if your going side ways you have a side way's motion hitting the disc.. and it skips.. donno how to fix it tho.. dont turn? heh
