Stock chnager question

Hi,
I am newbie so pls be kind.
I was going to buy a Ford cd changer from a 2000 explorer to put it in my 97 sport. Just wondering if this will be compatible?
I ripped open my center console to find that there was no wiring harness so I will have to figure out where I am going to run the wiring.

Any help is greatly appreciated

You can make anything work with the right wiring. I am not sure if that is a simple hook up procedure or not but it can be done. Run the wires under the carpet and drill a hole near the bottom back side for the wires to come in to.

First off, are you sure that the deck you have will run a changer??? If it will then I know the one from a 98 will work if you have/get the changer cable. I have one froma 98 for sale right now, I can probably get you the cable too... I know it works well, it belongs to a friend of mine and he loaned it to me for a road trip recently for my 96X and it works great..

The deck I have has the controls for a cd changer, I am assuming it will work with it. He is selling it with full cables, I just have to buy a mounting kit. The price is too good. I would actually prefer a HU with Cd, but this just looks like a good deal.
I just hope I don't get suckered.
How much are you asking for yours?
