stock yota. i just coverted the fittings on my powersteering lines to match up to the yota gear box. its ALL yota stuff.

next update post the pics as a new post so it bumps the thread up. Why did you go with a reverse 4 link? It will have negative effects on the handling, braking and accelleration.

oh ok thanks. i did the reverse four link so i can keep my back seats. when the truck was just bagged i had a unsightly four link (forward facing). the upper bars bolted to a tubeular xmember. the floor got raised up and i only had the two front seats. it was pretty lame and un-nessacary. so hows it gonna have "negative effects" on my drivability? plus, people have been doing reverse four links for years. the little shop of horrors blazer is under slung with a reverse four link, i figured if a high end shop does it and it makes the cover of mini truckin its good enough for me. i've seen some pretty poorly executed reverse four links before and i've felt the way they ride... pretty bad. but im confident that mine isnt going to have those issues.

Well you would be surprized what they put in magazines sometimes lol. My explorer has a forward facing 4 link with the rear seats in the stock location. I made the bars dip down in the middle to clear the floor and the bags are actually mounted on them as well. I cant think of it offmy head but theres a video online somebody made of different link setups and how they effect the vehicle. If I can find it I'll post it up.

cool.

I still cant find the other one I'm looking for but if i find it I'll post it up.

Forward Facing Parallel 4-Link:

Reverse Parallel 4-Link:

Look at the forward facing 4 link, It pushes the weight to the front unlike the reverse that lifts the rear end. Thanks to DJDAudio - djd@landisusa.com

hmmmm. i guess we'll see then bro. im pretty sure i'll be fine though.

Quesiton: why did you design your upper links with a break towards the front as opposed to bending it from one piece of tube?

do you mean doing a wishbone? the link bars them selfs are fine its more less the actuall geometry that will have an effect on how the vehicle reacts. I like the setup on just about all of it other than the reversed bars. the brackety and metal fab looks clean.

I mean this

Wow, cant wait to see it when its done, I wish I knew someone who could do work like that.

LOL, thats good to know, the bad part though is I work at krogers part time, and im only 17.

I just want/need some performance mods, and probably ball joints, and tie rod ends and an alignment atm.

The last few are at the top of my list lol

we did the links like that because we dont have a tubing bender. we pie cut the tubing, bend it by hand and then re-weld it. only working with what we have bro. you cant get that much of an angle pie cutting them and re welding it. it wants to kink and look like ish. ya know.

btw all the link tabs are hand made. i thought they turned out pretty good

looks good man, nice work. You can get a tubing bender from harbor freight for 60 bucks and I bend DOM with mine, works great. SlammedX is right about the reverse link, they are geometrically unfit for any type of acceleration or braking and are basically dangerous as hell. I have a 2-Link setup on my 93 and it gets the job done. We all know how hard it is to fit upper links under the floor but it is not impossible, a parallel 4-link on the outside of the frame with 2 separate links dogboned' for the bags is wut im doin after my yota clip. I'm not knockinb your truck, just experienced reverse links before. Keep up the good work.
