I have a question and yes ive searched. So after I install an aftermarket cd player ( I havent even started the process yet, im researching right now) I know how to take out my 97 Stock radio, with the keys, or coat hangers..but then lets say i install my new radio with the dash kit, everything it needs, how would I go about taking the aftermarket cd player out? Do the dash kits clip on and come out easy? Or? Thats what im curious about, how you go about removing a non ford radio without the keys, do you need to take the dash apart or what

Depends on the aftermarket radio and how you install it. When you install the new radio sleeve, you can install it in such a way that the keys that come with it can pull the radio out; or you can uninstall it by pulling the trim off the dash.

Pulling the trim plate off is very easy: undo the 2 screws above the HVAC controls and pull out all the clips and undo the wiring harnesses. Takes under a minute :)

Sounds good..so some of the dash kits come with their own keys too?

No, the HU comes with keys that work with the sleeve it comes with. This sleeve fits in with the dash adapter kit.
