My 96 EB V8 is a little lower in the rear than in the front. Would like to restore to original stock height. Does anyone know what was the original height when the car was new? Measuring from ground to top of wheel wells now gives me about 31" in front and 30" in rear. I assume new springs will restore original height.

"Eddie Bauer". But that is a misnomer on this forum because the true "EB" is the "Early Bronco".

As for the leaf springs, yes you can replace them or throw in a pair of "add a leaf" springs for maybe $50 (I think). Search if you need more info (its also known as "AAL").

EB reminds me of Edy's ice cream! Pecan praline!!! Oh, back on topic:

I have seen "stock" numbers anywhere between 32-34 inches.... Depends greatly on the size of tires and the wear of parts. 30 sounds a little low to me. You Might checkout all the topics on Shackles which will give you anywhere from 1-3 inches on the rear.
