Stock Speaker amp

Is there a way to bypass the stock speaker amp in the back on a 1992 Explorer w/ the premium sound package? I've replaced the HU and was just wondering whether that stock amp was really even needed...

I've also replaced all of the speakers this amp would power so any help is appreciated.

you could use the red yellow and black wires tro power the cd player. then ryn your own speaker wires from the cd player to the doors. or you could buy a bypass harness from best buy or somewhere for like 20 bucks. i ended up running my own wires

Well can i just connect the wires to each other and leave the amp out? or do i need to find a harness for it?
