Stock Subwoofer Replacment choices

So i was just wondering is anyone has used these and what there opinions were on them . This is just for a stock replacement in a 2000 EB , i don't want to go any bigger.

1- Rockford fosgate shallow mount 8 inch

from what i can tell thats not a shallow mount sub and wont work.
 






It's 4 3/8" deep. Not super shallow but also not $100. Most people that use it in place of a shallow sub get a spacer ring to bring the sub out around an inch or so.
 






curious what way you decided to go, as I'm interested in the jbl sub as well, but I'm worried about it being underpowered and fitment issues with the stock amp..
 






I have the pioneer shallow mount. It is amazing. I bought it on craigslist for $60. Just need to reinforce the factory box with fiberglass to cut out the rattle also dynomat the area around the enclosure. Hope this isn't too late to help
