hey Everyone.... This was posted on my other board I frequent.
I figured I'd get the word out, we could only imagine if this happened to us.

**STOLEN 1971 GS CONVERTIBLE & 26’ BOX TRAILER**

CASH REWARD
$3,000

On August 5, 2004 while I was away on vacation, someone arrived at my home in Monroe, Township, NJ, around 3 am and pushed my SUV out of the way to gain access to my 26’ box trailer which was loaded with my tools and worst of all my 1971 GS 455 convertible, which is all steel fully streetable, red with a white top and white interior. She runs in the high tens. I was all loaded up for Salem next week.

These sc%mbags hooked up the trailer and dragged it across my front yard and made off with everything! I am offering a $3,000 cash reward for the return of them and there may be a nice cash bonus if you can lead me to WHO was behind this.

* 1971 Gran Sport, VIN# 444671H193467, NJ plate # GTH66R
Red with white top and white interior - perfect condition

* 2002 Hallmark Edge Two 26’ enclosed trailer, VIN # 16HGB26202P026418
White with a large crease on passenger side rear above wheel to rear tail.
NJ plate # T31T7K

Please do not hesitate to call me on information, day or night at : 1-732-841-2121

Thank You,
Willie Wager
Monroe Township, NJ

If you've posted on any boards with information concerning your departure prior to the departure, check the responses. There was an issue back concerning a stolen vehicle. The perp turned out to be one of the scums on the message board the guy posted on. In the end, he recovered his vehicle.

Good luck.

I remember that. Wasn't it an RX-7 or something. And the dude who stole it was selling the parts on the same forum the owner was on. And in one of the pictures of the stolen parts you could see a box in the background that was in the car when it was stolen.. and it had the owners name and address on it. :smoke: Dumbass thieves. :nono:

yea, the fact that it was IN a trailer makes this a very distinct possibility. how else would the thief know what was in there unless it was a neighbor or someone on a messageboard. this doesnt look like a random crime to me.

Someone definately had to know there was something of value in that trailer, people don't ussually just steal empty trailers.

depending on the value of the goods stolen, you do have a way to identify who had knowledge of this. just ask the site admin for their server logs, and find all accesses to that thread. then compile a list of IP addresses. You can then link IPs to names for all the registered users(altho i would think a registered user wouldnt post if he was going to steal a car) and then compile another list of "anonymous" (heres where the cops come in) subpoena all the ISPs whos IPs are listed as anonymous and get the info for who was leased those IPs at that time. then you can make a list of contacts who saw the page, and narrow the search to people within ~200mi(or less) of the crime and more closely scrutinize those people. i beleive THIS is how you will recover your trailer.
