So I started my 05' XLT the other day when it was real cold and when the car started my information center displayed what looked to be a lot of service related information, everything from trouble codes to coolant temp to actual rpms. I have never had this happen before and I was able to get it back to normal by holding down the reset button. Anyone know why this happened and how I can manually get to it again? I am also wondering if their is a list of trouble codes somewhere, as it listed one in this menu?
Thanks!

It happened again today shortly after my last post, and it says TEST at the beginning if that helps

I've already found that I can reset it from the inside with the reset button, I am just trying to figure out how to get back to it and why its doing this

I know you can reset it from inside, my advice to you is to disconnect the battery cables for 5 mins.

I think he's trying to purposely put it into that mode. He doesn't have a problem reseting it. Now, Disconnecting the battery could Reset the PCM which would probably send it into a Test mode to relearn all the Parameters of the engine. That might Cause it to show that info on the Message Center. That would be sweet if you could get it to display while you're driving. It would be Helpful.

if u disconnect the battery does it mess up all the "flashing" that was done to the PCM by the dealer?? would that need to be redone again or not??

Thats exactly what I'm getting at. What really sparked my curiosity was that it displayed trouble codes as well. I don't have any dummy lights up or any warnings anywhere, but it listed two trouble codes through this "test" menu. Different times that I have disconnected my battery, I don't recall ever seeing this.
