I have some kind of thick, gooey orange leak that showed up on the passenger floormat a week ago or so. It hasn't done it since then. It was very sticky and thick. Since that happened, I have heard a lot of gurgling and squirting sounds coming from under the glovebox area.

My dad originally figured it was the heater core. Yesterday I had to get the starter replaced and some sort of idle something and a power steering hose, and I mentioned the leak. I got the radiator flushed a couple of weeks ago, and they said that it may be because the coolant had rust in it and it was plugging up the heater core leak. They said since I got it flushed, the leak started again. I'm not too sure.

Does anyone know what this leak may be, and perhaps a quick fix for it? I am being nickle-dimed to death by auto garages.

There's a long list of crap I'd like to say about my Explorer. I'll post it in a thread after this.

Pretty good chance it is the heater core.....there is adrip tray for when it leaks. If that plugs up, it will leak onto your floorboard....

Yep. Leaky heater core is the most likely cause of that...

I'd agree that it may be the heater core. The other thing I was wondering is if you had A/C?

Yeah, the AC is fine and so is the heat.
