Strange switch in the car

Well, those 3 switch pads are generally for the (left to right) AWD-4 high-4Low.
Have you tried your mystery switch/knob?

The 4wd I know about, and have also tested. I have tried flipping it with and without the engine and nothing seems to happen.

It's obviously aftermarket. Remove it, follow the wires and see where it leads.

Guess I will do that in a few weeks when I'm done working double shifts and have more time.

I pulled it out a little bit today (didn't have the time to take everything apart).
Three wires, two of them connected to the same leg on the switch.
