Wow, this is awesome. Is there any way that you could make a list of the parts you have put on your 5.0 to gain all this power? That would be really awesome. I want to put a 5.0 in my sport and want to then make it into a 347 stroker like you did.

I believe the stock rating is 330hp, it's a 4.3L V6 and costs around $20k.

haha me either ..its suprised the crap out of me, i thought it was some guy with a normal s15 jimmy with a body kit on it and a normal 4.3 in it... and i wasnt gonna race him just show off a little but man did he sure show me.... i looked on auto trader for those and you can get a really nice typhoon for $13,000 with only 55,000miles.. hopefully the wife will let me buy one of these for my birthday present!.. because i cant sell my explorer i need it to tow my dart!

Or you can put the $13k into your X and kill most anything. My neighbor works at a car lot and he's driven home a Typhoon and Cyclone (pickup version). They're fast, but not worth the pricetag. '92 for something like $16k, no thanks.

i just like how in 1992 gmc had the balls to come out with the fastest stock suv and truck....and they are aslo rare, so who knows how much they will be worth in 10 years
and put some mods on it and you have a weekend warrior

but im keeping my explorer for my daily driver and something to tow my other toys around

sorry i didnt get any pictures up yet but i been really busy the past couple day..heres why....driving home from work the other day i went though the country side and i lost control on a straight away at 120mph, did 2 donuts and smashed my front end right in to a guard rail. i am ok but i the explorer is pretty bad ... broke axle, smashed fenders smashed hood and other stuff but the worst part of this is i cracked my block somehow! so right now this really sucks.. i talked to my insureance they say the car is totaled so a 97 5.0 will be my next explorer mostly because i can get one for $5,500 and my incsurance is giving me $14,000 for my car so can you say 347 STROKER KIT AND SUPERCHARGER! and tons of other parts hope to have my next explorer down by the summer of 05!

sorry to say i sold my car to the insurance and didnt buy it back i need the money for my next explorer mostly i had my computer tuned with a superchips mictuner to get me to 120

I'm very impressed that your mechanic yanked out your engine, tore it all down, installed a complete rotating assembly, and reinstalled the engine in less than 48hrs. He work for NASCAR?

I also have a 347...+ TFS Street Heat alum heads, TFS Trackheat R intake, TFS stage II cam, oh, and a 9lb blower and I put down 360RWHP. I'd love to bring my truck to him, mabe he can find another 100hp in there somewhere.

i heard that 985.0xplorer got his engine done at cj's pony parts, they do build ups on mustangs, i know that they have a 347 98 ranger. when i was over there the other day they had pictures of his explorer doing a nice burnout and the engine after they were done. they said that he beat the **** out of his truck though.
