stubborn marks

I had a wind deflector on the hood of my truck which i've just removed and now there are 3 marks on the truck from the little knobs that prevent the thing from hitting against the hood.
I tried to remove the glue marks using a damp cloth then a cloth with vinegar/alcohol (window cleaner), this helpled but the marks are still there, any ideas of getting them off without damaging the paint.

try any outomotive products that are like "Bug-B-Gone" .... that might work a little better

is it the glue that's still on the surface, or is it just that the paint has discolored? if its the glue still on there, try heating it with a hairdryer and peeling it off, maybe with some fishing line (get the line behind it and scrape it off, or a utility knife, but be careful), then you could use some mineral spirits to get any other crud off, and if you use mineral spirits, make sure you wax the area afterwards. thats the method i used for when i shaved off my emblems.

hope that helps.
