Stuck in Manual

My shifter was stuck in park, so I did the manual thing to get it out of park. Now I can't get it to go in drive. I does fine in reverse, 1, 2, and 3, but not "D". Any suggestions?
2007 Eddie Bauer, 6 speed V6

OK figured something out. Appears she tried to force it and got the alignment off. Drive is now Neutral and Neutral is Reverse, 3 is Drive. Is there a way to adjust it back into alignment?
