As some of you have seen my other post about my new amp I have a question on my sub/box combo. Would my sub sound better in a sealed or ported box? it is the Fubar 12 by power acoustik which is 800 rms and 1800w max I am pushing it with a 850w rms at 2ohms kenwood mono class D amp which is 1700w max at 2 ohms.
My box is a Q-Logic single 12" sealed/ported which i can chose by screwing in the extra piece that comes with the box. My bass is not very crisp right now as I run it ported, but I dont know if I will hurt my sub by running it in a sealed box , the box volume is 1.25 cu ft, Is this to small to allow full travel of the sub? causing it to distort? Im pretty good at installing my own stuff but Im not very good when it comes to tuning it to sound good. thanks for the help again any help would be great ,
Jon
