Hey, I have two 10" Audiobahns, and they sound great but I hate the lack of space in the back. One of my buddies said he's got enclosures under his truck seats. I was just wondering if anyone knew of anyone that made a box like that for a 92 X?

No room.

Go get the MTX thunderform or the JL stealthbox. Fits right in the back where the stock sub would go. Can fit up to a 10" sub back there... The audiobahn (ick) is too deep though. You'd have to get a shallower basket sub. Something like a kicker, or memphis. Personally i feel the audiobahn stuff looks good and apeals to the younger kids cause it's pretty, but they just don't sound good at high volumes, unlike JBL or kicker. Guess that's the old saying "get what you pay for". Then again, if you wanted some serious sound, get some eclipse subs. Holy crap are those loud. =)

Actually mine sound pretty good. I'm not all about getting a loud thump to try to impress anyone. As long as It sounds really great inside of my vehicle and give a clear sound, that is all I care about, but thanks for the advice anyway.

But, I do have a question. What do you mean by, "Where the stock sub would go" ? There was only room for a 6"by9" in the back.

Yeah I don't think the 1st gens came with a stock sub.

I'm pretty sure the 93-94 had an optional Factory Subwoofer. I've never seen a 91-92 with them, so I can't comment on that.

I know for a fact you could get a 93 with a sub, as my gf's uncle has one, and thinks its super loud.

They could have if they had the premium JBL system. I did have a '92 Eddie with the factory sub. It's a 6.5'' and a pain in the butt to find anywhere.

You could do what I did and mount a sub inverted on a box that goes inside the storage area. I mounted a JL Audio 10W3v2 on a JL Audio Stealthbox, and it sounds incredible. There is no comparison between this sub and the W1 that came with the Stealthbox. Also, I've seen a Rockford sub mounted inverted on a MTX Thunderform box.

Here is a link to a pic of my set up. Just passing on an idea for you to consider.
