Subtle whining noise after engine shutoff

After I shut off the engine (not all the time) I hear 3 to 5 seconds of a dull whining coming from the engine. I cant pinpoint it.

I was thinking it was the fuel pump but not sure. Any thoughts?

'03 4.0 SOHC 4x4

it sounds more vacuumlike but cant find it
 






I think I know of the sound you're talking about. Probably is just the extra vacuum you're hearing. If you've ever turned a motor over without starting it you'd hear the vacuum noises then, too. Mine does this as well, I wouldn't worry about it, although I guess it's possible you have a very minor vacuum leak.
 






Is this after having the heat or air on?
