I have a 98 explorer eddie bauer. The sunroof has always leaked. The drainage holes are clear. I have tried taping it, having a auto glass professional who has sealed many sunroofs off with ureathane seal it, And nothing helps. What else can I do? Thanks

Are you sure it's the sun roof that's leaking and not the rear qtr windows? The side windows are held in place with 10mm bolts. Over time these bolts tend to loosen and then the windows don't seal. I've had to tighten these bolts on several of my Ex's. Where is the leak showing up?

I'm pretty sure its the sunroof. Every time it rains, I see that the shade is damp and the headliner around the sunroof is damp. Even if I have dew on it, it is damp as well.

Have you pulled the headliner to see if there are any water marks showing where it's coming in at?

Mine leaks when it's parked nose down and I'm finally going to pull down the headliner and take a good look plus see if I can seal it up somehow.

The sunroof has 4 drains. 2 in front and 2 in the rear. There are hoses that push onto the drains, but there aren't any clamps to hold the hoses on, or to keep them tight. The front 2 hoses go down the "A" pillars, the rear 2 go down the "B" pillars. The hoses can also become clogged with debris. Sound like your issue is with the front drains.

Would it still leak even though it has been sealed? Cause it will not open now. Since it's been sealed.

If it's truly sealed then the sun roof can't be leaking.

How can I seal it? They only seal th e part that connects to the metal roof. What about the seal that's on the glass? It's cracked in places.
