I think she's really saying she wants some new wheels and tires:D

eric, ask and you shall receive!

so yesterday i was searching the classified looking for another explorer or 3 to fix and resell (up until this weekend i had 3 of them, 2 for sale, 1 that i have to fix when my finger heals, different story, different time). sometimes i look for mustang stuff as well. today i got REAL lucky. someone was advertising a set of 20" FOOSE SPEEDSTERS for 900 with rubber! i called him up, went there. i offered him 500 for them, and we settled on 550! that's Canadian my friends! so when i got home, i sized them up! yup, there keepers! looks like i will be having a set of cobra r's for sale in the near future!

but on a different note, evils been playing some games with me lately....not funny ones either. the person that saved me from selling her needed my ranger, witch left me to drive evil, even though she's been parked most of the winter. weeeeell, the other night i went to move her out of the back yard, and needed to open my house. ok, shut her off, unlock my house door, start evil back up. i go to shut her door when a fraction of a second before the door latches, i hear the dreaded "lock" sound........yup, evil locked me out of her, while she was running. house was unlocked, but with my spares 30 mins away i was screwed until i remembered how to break in! tim 1, evil 0. well tonight as i was going to get the rims, i noticed that the lights in the dash where dim. meh, i figured the indaglows where starting to die, until i looked at the volt gauge......problem! my deck has a voltage reading in it, so i checked that. it was reading 12v, then 10, the 13. i got the rims, booted it home and prayed! is -27C here right now, and i will say, it was a pretty chilly ride home! made it back, unloaded the rims, and that was it. battery was so low it wouldn't even go into 4x4. looks like i make a mad dash to my buddy's, and change a alt. tonight evil 1 tim 1:rolleyes:.

they look decent,. going to have to see them on now,,

on the mad dash take a spare battery with you,,

Congrats, Tim! You got a really good deal and they're gonna look awesome at Carlisle. Now time to lower her :)

Wicked score mate. The rim's and rubber look choice.

That's what evil has needed. Can't wait to see them on there.

one tire is nfg, the others, meh, not sure if i would want them anyway. there too small. that and i dont think i would keep them with one new, and the other ones used anyhow.

ok, sure she looks a little funny with rubber bands for tires, but at least i know what she looks like with the new/used fooses on!

oh hell ya. one tire has a slice in the side wall, and they look even smaller then i expected. i'll pull those off and see if i can get any cash for them locally if possible. if i can i will drop it first, then get tires second that way it will look proportioned.

I wish I could "like" posts, lol. Tim, just an idea so you can take it or leave it, but I wonder how the rims would look if you could get a thin blue pinstripe or maybe paint just the indentation part of each spoke blue. You know, to link the flame color to the wheels? I think the second idea would look really unique! Can't wait for Carlisle to see them in person :)

Oh, are those 20x8 all around or 20x8 and 20x10? If it helps any, I had 255/50r20's on the 20x8's up front and the handling was perfect. Not too wide, not too tall.

And one more thing: Painted calipers = MUST HAVE. Especially when you can see so much rotor!

actually lindsy, that's what i was trying to call you about yesterday was what tire size did you have on jack. blue on the rim lip, meh, not sure about that, but in the spoke, that might be a idea.
i know what you mean about painted calipers are now going to be a must, as well as everything else. as of today, the hotel is booked, and evil is registered. come hell or high water, I'm come back to carlisle, and getting first!
