I was recently told that I would have to give up 20" rims when I install my supercharger. To explain the thought process, I was told by a friend that the combination would cause excessive transmission wear and in short term destruction.
How true is this? As I do know my 4r44e aren't known to be the strongest transmission. I do have a custom flywheel that is made for this for the application. As I hear as well that things can be troublesome even on stock tires.
Also, can an oversized or additional transmission cooler be installed to prevent the excessive wear?
