Removed both rear springs tonight. I was rolling along until I got to upper shackle bushing. I'll work on that tomorrow.

I removed the 2nd leaf from the Superlift springs and re-drilled a hole 1" lower for upper bolt to frame. I test fitted the drivers side. It's 2" higher than my old leafs. Old leafs did have an add a leaf, but they had the classic w profile, after pulling enclosed trailer for 4 years..

Here are some pics to compare stock vs. superlift.

finished the job today.

Old shackle vs new re-drilled shackle. Moved hole in towards the center 1". This is the upper shackle or frame mount hole.

End results measured from the ground to center top of wheel opening.

Stock springs with add a leaf 40.5 on LR and 40.0 on RR

Superlift springs with 2nd leaf removed and new shackle. 42.5 L & R.

It will be interesting to see how much the springs settle, I might end up putting 2nd leaf back in.

Took it for a test ride, ride is much better than I was hoping for. No more clanking or banging and a softer ride. I adjusted the Rancho 9000's up more more click to stiffer. Very happy so far...

I'll post some pics of the stance of the truck after I wash it tonight.

Hard to tell sitting on a little incline.

Now ya did it......time to get some 35's! Lol looking good man! Going to have to get some new leaf springs sometime in the near future.:thumbsup:

Looks good. I think that's exactly what I needed to see to confirm that the Superlift springs would not raise it too high.

Could you get another picture on level ground?

Thanks, sure will, supposed to rain tomorrow. Might be a couple of days.

I was concerned it would sit jacked up, even called Superlift, they didn't do much to ease my concerns. Looking at it today, the 33's look a little small in the back now.

No problem, I'll be in the Bahamas the rest of the week anyway.

Good thing I already have 35s.

I think it looks fine, though, IMO.

with 600lbs of topsoil in the bed, didn't squat as much as I thought it would.

Wow that looks great, I would like to do my 03 xlt like this, I use it as a daily driver and only vehicle, I know it sucks because I need it every day

Thanks, mine is still a daily driver as well.

I also beat it like a rented mule in the summer, at the Sand Dunes.
