I just noticed these past few days that my truck is acting really weird. When I'm at a stop the idle surges from 800rpm down to 500rpm sometimes even lower and during this there is a werid noise in the engine bay it sounds like loud tapping. It can't be a rod or anything thing because it would do it all the time, this noise only happens when the rpms drop down then it goes away. Does anyone have an idea on what this could be? I plan on taking the truck in on Monday morning frist thing to the dealer. Specs on the truck, 2006 Eddie Bauer V8 4x4 35,000mi, only mod is a KKM intake.
