Hey there I am looking to swap my single disc XLT radio for a 6 disc changer from and eddie bauer, same year? Is there anything that is not compatible? I don't have steering wheel controls, or a sub but I don't believe this is going to be a problem. I am also looking at adding the factory DVD system to the rear and wondering if this unit is compatible?

Check the plug colors, and number of plugs. For '02 the dash should have World Plugs (Black) if you get the same color and number on the replacement you should be ok. In’04 for sure its mixed low end radios have World while some models have PhaseII (grey) for the premium radios.

On a side note I have the Rear DVD in my '04 with a single disk/cass combo. I'm upgrading to a 6disk audiophile that has a sub (3 connectors). I just pulled my rear panel to add the OEM sub to find I have to run my own power and wires to the sub-amp.

For OEM DVD it would be a lot of work, . . .unless you can find a junker and the wiring, as there is a radio harness running from the Radio all the way to the roof liner.
Best might be aftermarket. . .

Thanks for the replies. I saw them on the other topic as well. I do not have a sunroof but I was going to add the DVD player just to pretty much add it because I am never satisfied with my ride. As for the radio I don't have my truck because some idiot can't follow the paint on the roads. When I get it back around Christmas I am going to pull my radio and see I think I am just going to but the radio I found because its a good deal and hope it works. As for the DVD player I am mechanically inclined but I think this is just better left alone.
