i guess i could just make two small boxes then and mount them in the cargo bed ceiling facing forward, kinda like surround sound. The cheerokees have 6.5s like that, only stock, i might try it.

why not replace the in door speakers with the 6.5" components? you will need to get adapters though

already done that. i have 6.5s in the front and 5x7s in the back. i want more.

Q-logic (or whatever their name is) makes speaker enclosures that replace your kick panels and allow you to run upto 6.5 components.

if you read most of this thread the you'll know i'm a cheap bastard, and i'll probably come up with some very unsafe home made equivalent. like cutting holes in the ceiling panels and rigging them up that way. I hope to have pics of my current settup pretty soon to show ya'll that design is crap and function is king.
