Swing out tire mount from Bronco/Bronco II?

Hi gang! Exped. newby back again with another newby question.

Does anyone know if a Bronco or Bronco II swing out tire carrier would work on a 1st gen Eped? Was at the junk yard yesterday looking for a couple of other parts and didn't have time to look close but thought hmmmmm? Anybody ever do it? Thoughts?

BII carriers are a desirable mod but it doesn't seem very popular. It does require some mods to the body and bumper to work, but if you've got the skills it's a good fit. The full size bronco I'm not so sure. Given the body is wider it may not fit well but should work regardless. One day I'll get to adding the BII carrier myself. Maybe it'll be my first real welding project after I get some lessons from a friend who is tudoring me.

It's been done. If you just cheeze it on there it WILL tear out the body.

But with proper backing plates it's nearly a direct fit.
