Switching front seat backs?

I have a 92X Sport with just under 200k on it. The back of the drivers seat no longer offers the same support for my back and after a long ride I really feel it. Is it possible to swap the back from the front passenger seat with the back of the drivers' seat? I took off the plastic guards and there is a spring that looks like it could cause problems. I'd like to avoid having the grandma back support things in my truck.

Do a search on seats.

The problem you are having with the BACK may be the same as the problem others have had with the BOTTOM. By reading the posts and disassembling the seat you should be able to tell how to fix the problem. The problem usually is with the padding, not the steel structure, so ability of the seat to resist items behind it should not be affected.
