Can anybody tell me why the Xtravision claims to be 20% brighter (than what I don't know) but they are only 65 hi and 45 low. Whereas the standard bulbs are 65 hi and 55 low. Seems a little backward to me.

Dont even go there...

I bought 2 bulbs last month just to try the Xtra-visions out. I installed one of the XV bulbs on the left side, then turned on the headlight. My impressions....there was not a noticable difference from my stock bulbs.
If you're looking for a bulb that will make a difference, try to Silverstars that they make. It runs a close to 4000 kelvins and IS brighter than stock.

zensius,

i bought a pair of those for my [now sold] '98 x-wagon.
they really did seem to have that extra "ummph", over the stock junk.

i agree with peter [also my name], the osram silverstars are the way to go. $25.00 each is a bit steep to me, however the same day i took possession of my "new" '00 sport wagon i bought a pair.

there is a noticeable difference! also they are 70/60 watt as opposed to 65/55 or 65/45 candles.

they are close to hid.
